Texture from Textile

From Textiles to Architecture, a research project exploring the history and future of architecture from the perspective of textiles

Led by architect Naohisa Hosoo, principal of HOSOO Architecture, this project examines the history of architecture, taking cues from textiles to renew today’s architectural thought. Beginning by reconsidering the transformations in ideas in crafts, art, design, and architecture, inspired by textiles (texture) from the early 20th century onward, the project has published the results of its research as a semi-permanent exhibition while continuing its activities.
